Born to Bike

This summer’s London Olympics means lots of traffic in the city – I mean TONS. Tube and taxi traffic especially. So how do we prepare?
1) WITH BICYCLES!!!
And why not a bicycle especially designed with the Olympics in mind? This blue bombshell, designed by British Olympic (multiple-medal) cyclist Victoria Pendleton, answers the call.

It is in fact, one of three models designed by Pendleton and available at Halfords. But this one, the Somerby, is the best one. Not only is it an amazing blue, it has a luggage rack and is ideal for quick adventures through the urban jungle.
2) WITH TENT HOODIES!!!!

Controversial Climate Change

This TED talk presents an interesting perspective on climate change, including lots of speculation on whether or not geo-engineering is actually a dangerous option with unpredictable consequences.
His point is really that we need to discuss these issues openly, we need transparency – otherwise it leaves us wide open to disaster, especially without proper international agreement…

3 Things for Spring!!!

This week’s three things are all about spring-time fun-time. Feelin’ funky and bright.
First up we have a wonder of a bangle from Pure Dead Brilliant. Mysteriously titled The Barrie Lincoln, this cage bracelet beauty mimics the classic geometric diamond shape with a punch of wicked funk.

This lovely cuff is available in both 22 Carat Gold Vermeil and 925 Sterling Silver from the label’s own online shop and some bold boutiques in trend-setting spots all over the globe. The brand is the brain child of Nora Logan, who works with the local artisan talent in Bali to produce these distinctive designs.
In the middle we have our own Silk Bomber!!!! This luxurious addition to the Goodone SS12 collection is made from reclaimed silk shirts and Leicester-sourced cotton rib.

The jacket was made in our One Good Factory in Bulgaria and includes a couple of draw-string details to ensure you figure is flaunted to the fullest. It comes in both lilac and black, tap that to get your jacket!
Finally, we have the Zig-zag backpack from Edwin Louis London. This handy sack comes in various hues and is perfect for spring cycling trips. The bag was born in SW London and made with care by this new label that specializes in handmade backpacks and bags for both lads and ladies.
